Changing the rubbers on the front suspension isn’t too hard at all.
I measured 3cm play and I lowered the sub frame 2 cm, this leaves me 1 cm. Keeping 5mm play this means I can lower the engine for 5 more mm’s.
That’s why I made the wholes in the engine mounts oval. Total gain 2.5 cm, keeping the spacers in mind they where approximately 1.5 cm. So this will give me enough clearance between engine and bonnet and maybe if I’m lucky I can leave the spacers out between sub frame and chassis.
This would also mean that the original wheel geometry setup will be back to standard and I haven’t got any problems with the length of the steering shaft.
I can’t wait to give it a try.
