So now it was time to take the old fuel tank out of the car and getting the new tank in place. Easier said than done; it’s not a complicated job but it takes quite some time to get the rear axle out of the way not forgetting undoing the double exhausts,
brake lines, shocks, springs, fuel filler pipe (always a hard one to reinstall I find), new fuel return pipe, new fuel pump…
It took me two long evenings to get the work done (a bolt cheered off when I took the old tank out; extra work to get this fixed)
and when all’s done the wife asks what you have been doing because she can’t see any difference at the car?
